Modeling "my favorite things" have students respond to (in columns)

A favorite song
A favorite book
A favorite song
My favorite series
My favorite YouTube videos

Then show them how to create a Padlet of their own entitled "My Favorite Things"

Other ideas:

Gloomiest songs
Songs that make me happy
Songs that communicate rage and rebellion
Songs that relax me

Have them brainstorm more favorite things they can choose from. They will continue building their padlet throughout the semester.

END RESULT: 

1) Students can share their Padlets with each other.

2) Students can take turns creating a Padlet POD lesson (each lesson begins with Agenda #1: Taking attendance) and then 2-3 columns of activities.

Post three photographs (include the name of the photographer) and have students choose which one they connect with the most and why.

Post an image with three books and the blurbs (include name of the author) for each and have students choose which one they would read and why. 

Post three short poems (include name of the author) for each and have students choose which one students connect with and why.

Post three biographies about three famous people. Which one would you want to know more about and why?

If there was a book written about your life what would the title be and why? Write a book blurb based on your life. 

If there was a song written about the last year of your life what would the title be and why? What genre and why?

Post three jokes and have students respond to which joke was the funniest and why.
