         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>I have explained how the arm movement is produced. It occurs when muscles contract by exerting forces on the tendons, which then pull on bones, thus causing the movement.<br>I have identified how skeletal muscles and bones work together to move the body.<br>I have recognised the main muscles associated with the arm joint and explained their function as either an agonist or antagonist.<br>I have identified the muscles involved in the process of arm movement.<br>I have shown that the lever principle can be applied to explain movement.<br>I was able to recognise the three classes of lever system and its components (lever, fulcrum, effort, and load).<br>I have realised that third-class lever systems are the prevalent ones in the body; first and second-class lever systems have a mechanical advantage and third-class lever systems operate at a mechanical disadvantage yet move a load further and faster. Moreover, lever systems where a force greater than the load to be moved needs to be applied is said to offer a mechanical disadvantage. However, these levers are useful to us in sport as they allow us to move the load a greater distance, with a wide range of motion.<br><br></div>]]></description>
