         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Long Walk is about a boy named Raymond, and his journey during the competition they call The Walk. The Walk is were any boy eighteen years or younger can participate in the walk and it starts in Maine and walk until they cannot anymore. The walkers must keep a speed of four miles per hour, and if they go under the speed they will receive three warnings, and if they don't speed up by the third warning they are shot. The last walker standing gets the Prize, which is everything that their heart desires. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>“That's the day's business. Thinking. Thinking and isolation, because it doesn't matter if you pass the time of day with someone or not; in the end, you're alone. He seemed to have put in as many miles in his brain as he had with his feet. The thoughts kept coming and there was no way to deny them.” pg 311<br><br>- I think that this quote is important to Raymond's journey because it is showing that he thinks that he is alone and that gave him more time to think about things that maybe he pushes away when he is around people. This journey is forcing him to think about things that maybe he doesn't really want to think about. </div>]]></description>
