My name is Mary Ann Rabago. I'm 20 years old. And currently residing in Camanggahan 1, Buanoy, Balamban, Cebu. In my family, we are 7 members, including me. I have likes and dislikes. Here's my likes: reading books, swimming, adventure trips, basically the nature trip. And I love eating spicy, sour food. And also, here's my dislike: I don't really like if someone distracts me while I'm studying. When I was in elementary school, I really loved teaching, especially the young ones, but at this age, I found my passion, which is to grow plants and raise animals; in short, agriculture, where I love it. I'd love this because I grew up surrounded by plants and animals, so I already adapted to the life of an agriculture. Whereas I want to explore more. To sum up, I'm the typical woman that I get friendly with if you are the one who makes the first move. And I'm the kind of woman who prioritizes others before myself. Many of my friends told me that I'm selfless, but for me it's nothing; the important thing is your help without expecting the payback. And here's my motto: "Respect others if you want to be respected too.". And most importantly, know your worth as a woman.

My Biggest Fear

All of us have different types of fear and have different ways to overcome it. In terms of fears, I have fears that I'm going to share in this blog, wherein it taught me a lot and gave me motivation to conquer these fears. First, losing someone that I love, especially my parents, who instill me and nurture me with the good characteristics when I'm still young up until now. I fear that I lose them while I'm studying because I have guts that I can't handle the fact. Because I promise to them that I will repay their hard work and struggles that they are going through. Then, my biggest fear is losing myself because there are many traumas that I've been through that still haunt me now. This is my biggest fear because through this trauma it leads to anxiety turns to depression, and there was a time that bad thought came up in my mind wherein I attempted suicide because I thought those times were my darkest, and I couldn't handle it because I couldn't tell it to anyone because I felt fear to be judged. Fortunately, God is very good in terms of timing. He gives me strength to move forward gradually despite the things that happen. He guided me to not continue of what I had thought those times. In which I'm very grateful with it. I consider this my second life, and I promise to take care of this and be thankful.

What keeps me going?

The reasons that keep me going are so many: one of those is that God helps me and saves me in my darkest times, for which I'm very grateful. And it helps me to keep motivated every day and not to lose hope. Though I can still remember those times, I always keep in mind that there's a rainbow after the rain, which means in every hardest time there's always a solution and a hope to solve it. And think of the good side instead of the negative. Then, I have supportive family and friends, which helps me to keep motivated when I have a problem. Though sometimes you need to be alone, I always think that I have family and friends to lean on, and I'm thankful to have them. Lastly, the people who help me to keep going are the people who are arrogant and downgrade the not wealthy people, which I experienced with my own uncle. It keeps me going because through their judgments about the status of what my family has, I want to be successful someday so that they will not judge anymore. Though this ambition takes a long time, I will make sure that I will be. Though we don't depend on the judgment of other people, it taught us a lesson that also helps us to be stronger and keep motivated.
