Edgar Allan Poe is, in my opinion, a very interesting writer, and I read many of his interesting books, like The Tell Tale Heart and the Cask of Amontillado, but now I´m going to talk about this interesting story called William Wilson.
The story start with the main character whose name is unknown but he called himself William Wilson in honor of his dark and bad past, he was in a big school, with a lot of students, in a few days he ruled all the students except one, that curiously his name was William Wilson too.He had the same body, the same age, the same day of birth, and many qualities as the main character, he used to talk in a very soft voice, and his beated the main character in all the aspects.William Wilson hated that boy because he was better than him, so he wanted to know his weakness, so in the middle of the night, he went to his rival romm and he entered, but what he saw scared him, the other William Wilson had the same face as him, after that he immediately left that school.
The years passed, and William Wilson wanted to be in Oxford University, and he started to gain money, so he made plans to beat the rivals, everything was good except for one night when he was beating a rich rival, when he got all the money, the nightmare started, there was the other William Wilson, and he said:"Gentlemen I am here only to do my duty.You cannot know the tru character of the man who has tonight taken a large amount of money from Mr Glendinning(the rich rival).Please have him take off his coat, and then look in it very carefully."The they did what the other William Wilson said and he wasexpelled from Oxford University. He escaped to many countries but alwways William Wilson followed him, he was tired, so one day he challenged him to a sword duel, William Wilson pointed many times into his heart, but after that he saw a big mirrow, and he saw his own form and the other Wilson said: "I have lost.Yet from now on you are also dead, dead to the World, dead to the Heaven, dead to Hope. In me you lived and, in my death see by this face, which is your own, how wholly, how completely you have killed yourself.

In my opinion,the other Wilson was the awareness of the main character, and this story want to teach us that without the awareness we are no more humans, we are death as persons,but with that we are the best as the other William Wilson was.
