         <description><![CDATA[<div>The similarities between Ceremonies and birthdays are because you get something for both of those things. In "The Giver"  in the Ceremonies you get something new from the community each new Ceremony. On birthdays you get presents from friends and family.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the Sneetches some of them had stars on their bellies but some did not. Which means they are not the same. But they are still equal to each other. They are still appreciate each other. In the giver some of the people have different eye color but they do not point it out because they are all equal.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Lowery did use the aspects of some failed communities. Like in the "The Shakers" Utopia they had to adopted kids and their families are not blood related. In Jonas's Utopia they have the same thing. In some other community their life is planned out for them and their life is not fair like Jonas's.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Transmitting Memories </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The process of transmitting memories is that you have to lay down on your belly and then have the giver put his hands on you back and close your eyes. Then the memory will come to you and you will feel the sensation that the memory is transmitting to you. The first memory that Jonas receives is the memory of snow.</div>]]></description>
