Reducing the practice of open defecation will help to reduce diarrhoae in under-five children, which is also associated with malnutrition and leads to under-five mortality
2. Improving access to health care will help to reduce under-five mortality in case a child is affected with diarrhoeal infection
3. Availability of toilets in kindergaten schools as well as toilets in households with hand washing facilities will help to ensure that kids use them, reduce open defecation by children and also ensure proper disposal of infants faeces in chamber pots or flying toilets by caretakers. This shall further enhance the culture of toilet use through exposure of children from a young age
4. Ensuring that households have access to improved toilet facilities will help to prevent community members from using school toilets, putting pressure on them, prevent open defecation, prevent flying toilets which would all eventually nullify the efforts been made to reduce under-five mortality in Balochistan
5. Access to water encourages the use and cleaning of some types of toilet facilities (water closet, pour flash) and handwashing practices.
6.
