Hi friends.

This is a very interesting statue which is located in the Plaza of Santiago in Lucena (Córdoba). This statue represents The Rabbi´s bust Yosef Ben Meir. He was born in Sevilla in 1077 and he lived there for twelve years. Later, he moved to Lucena, where he studied under the direction of the renowned talmudist Isaac Alfasi for fourteen years. Little data known about his personality. But if we know that he is the author of responsa originally in Arabic, and that he was a rabbit at the academy of Lucena at the age of twenty-six years until his death in 1141.

I hope everything is ok in there.

Best regards.

Araceli

Hello classmates!
The other day, I went to Rincón de la Victoria (Malaga). There, I visited Treasure Cave. It's a cave of marine geologic origin in Europe. Inside, you can see: Sala Marco Craso, Sala de Los Lagos, Sala de la Virgen, Sala del Águila, Sala Noctiluca, Sala del Volcán and Pozo del Suizo. Legend has it inside of cave continues buried a hidden treasure for the Tasufín Ibn Alí Almoravid emperor in the 1100s. I took the picture without flash for to not ruin its qualities.

Regards

Araceli Écija
