<title>This book is based off of Bob Marley who was an amazing artist and singer. His songs always talked about wanting peace and happiness and this book does the same thing. This book is based off of one of his songs and it&#39;s about coming back from a hardship or maybe feeling down sometimes, that everything will be alright in the end. The sun will shine. </title>

<title>The text could connect to my students because it could be a mirror into their own experiences and what they think about or go through when they aren&#39;t at school. They could be going through something difficult. It could also be a window for me and my students because it could provide insight into what other students are feeling on the inside and that other things are going on besides school and as teachers and classmates we have to understand that not everyone is going to have a great day. </title>

I didn&#39;t realize how awful it was to be afraid of your own name. Students will realize this too. </title>

<title>This book is about coming together as a classroom and that we can be family without being blood related. Anyone can be your family. It&#39;s who you trust and rely on in times of need and sadness. Building a sense of classroom community is important for you as the teacher, and for your students. This is a great book to read at the beginning of the year. </title>

<title>This book could be a mirror into my own definition of family. Sometimes I don&#39;t think about my friends as my family and I should. They are always there for me. It could be a mirror for students to look at what their definition of family is and for them to look at their peers as family. It could be a window for me to look at my students and take into consideration their families because every family is different and that is okay. </title>

<title>This book helps students to feel like they can be confident and open up to talking to new people and making new friendships. Some kids may feel different and like they don&#39;t fit in, but with this book, it makes kids realize that it&#39;s okay to be different because everyone is different in their own way. </title>

<title>This book is about a girl who has hair that is wild. She is bullied by other kids at school and one day finds her neighbor&#39;s garden. This book supports black children who struggle with comments about their hair and it shows them that a garden is always somewhere in the forest, you just have to find it. </title>

<title>This book could provide a mirror for students because they may have a parent that is in prison serving time. It could remind them of when they go and visit and reunite. This could provide a mirror for me because I never think about if students&#39; have parents that are incarcerated and how that affects their lives at school and at home. </title>
