Though it is by no means my assertion that these instances of trespassing are the product of malicious intent, instead, I'd argue that such transgressions are typically the product of UOB students seeking to socialise with their non-UOB friends/SOs whilst remaining on campus. However, there remains an all too real structural vulnerability resulting from the implementation of sliding doors as the primary deterrent. Thus, should a dangerous individual seek to exploit this weakness, slipping through before the doors have time to close, then the safety precautions currently in effect could prove insufficient for mitigating the potential for harm coming to both students and staff.
