At the end she is sad and ready to submit to the relentless suitors that take whatever they please from her husbands kingdom. Then she hears the struggle between Odysseus and the suitors and knows her husband is home again. In the end there is no one left on Odysseus's crew. They had followed him till the end but all of his crew was killed or lost at sea. At the end of the movie is is an old worn man that had been searching for his home land for at least 20 years now. He reclaims his city from the suitors that have overrun it (by killing them).
