In my opinion,i would like to say that relying in robots is a really good thing.First,it can make our work more efficient and faster to be compeleted.Repetitive or physically difficult to do can be done by robots. For example, exoskeleton created by Korean scientist allow workers in heavy industries to have super strength to carry heavy materials. Not only that, robots are also being used in the automotive industries to assemble and create car parts. These robots can reduce the amount of time in completing the work.

I agree that the introduction of the robot can increase the efficiency of work but on the same time it causes decrease job opportunity for the low-skilled workers for example waiter. Nowadays some restaurant in the big city already start using machine to take orders and serve without having any waiters in the restaurant.Customer just order with their mobile phone and pay using their credit cards or online banking without talking to anyone.Even Mcdonald's already start introducing the self-service kiosk that customer can walk up to order without talking to human cashier.

The reliance to robotics hence indirectly can cause lack of face-to-face human interaction when everything can be done without communicating. People are too dependent on the robotics that they forget the basic thing like love and caring to others. Eveything is in a way too mechanize and people are no longer concern about what is happening in the surrounding. They just focus on their phone whenever they go and the ability of them to communicate outside the virtual world is eroded slowly a bit by a bit

Everything is doing in the same way same process that it is a way too boring in an artistic context.Human are getting too rely of the robots that they cannot survive if the machine is run out of order one day.Everything will be in a mess and no solution can be come up to solve the problem when human being too dependent on the robotics.

Wan Yan Ru BM16110031
From my point of view, robotics invention has its pros and cons. The main benefit of it is making the productions to be effective. In other words, it allows a large quantity of products being produced in a short period of time. Therefore, it indirectly provides convenience to our daily lives. However, over-dependence on it causes humans to lose their daily survival skills such as socialization, communication and interaction. Can you imagine what if a person could not handling his or her washings in manual. Furthermore, paralysed patients could rely on physiotherapy to be back to their normal lives. Reliance on exoskeleton will not fully recover them and drag their determination to be independent. Thus, I strongly believe that robotics would probably a good thing if people use it wisely but not over-reliant on it.

It plays a crucial role in the recovery of people with disabilities, and also improving their mobility, strength, coordination and quality of life. The robots are actually programmed to adapt to conditions of patients such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis. I would like to elaborate more on the function of robotics in medical field as well in terms of surgical assistance. The development of the remote-controlled robots actually are programmed to assist surgeons while performing operations with minimal invasive procedures. The perfect example of this is the highly-sophisticated robotic arm which is created to aid in the medical operating ward enhanced with 3D technology. These can actually save time and energy of the doctors as we can reduce the manpower needed during operations and thus, more doctors would be available to treat patients who are very much in need of their doctors for surgeries and treatments as well.

Moreover the time saved can be use to focus on our jobs and study. We cannot just reject the enhancement of the robotics just in the name of independence . In fact we need to improve ourselves so that we will not be replaced by the robotics one day in the fast-paced era. We need to emphasize on more humanity value such as smile, warmness and love which is irreplaceable by the dull robotics.

Wan Yan Ru

I see your points of view but let us focus back on the topic. Based on the Cambridge English Dictionary, robotics means that it is the science of making and using robots. Obviously, we are not discussing about technologies but robotics. If we continue to increase our reliance on it, humans will be in a lack of job opportunities. The country keeps creating Information Technology jobs to keep track with the progression of robotics but in another way will deplete the investment in other sectors. For example, plantation, education, medical field and security forces. Imagine robots will be going to replace tutors or educators in education. That means that children are taught by robots which could not really understand humanities. Therefore, there will be more crimes as youngsters are not educated well-rounded from the aspect of emotions, physical and mental. Hence, I strongly believe that reliance on robotics is not a good thing.
