The Circle of care diagram illustrates how different roles and supports are interconnected. It highlights how children are at the center of early childhood education surrounded by layers of support. Adult learners, likely future educators are placed close to the children showing their direct role in learning. Around them are parents, caregivers, instructors, facilitators, community members, and ECE centers - form the immediate support network. The outer ring includes ECE manager, founders, Nunavut Arctic college, community partners, and curriculum developers who provide the broader structural and systematic support.

This model emphasizes that caring and educating children is not the responsibility of one person but a collaborative effort.

This thought was composed with drafting support from ChatGPT “Circle of care photo insights “, September 18, 2025, https://www.chatgpt.com.

When I look at the Circle of Care graphic,I see that children are always at the centre of everything I do. It reminds me that I have an important role in supporting their growth, but I am not doing this work alone.Parents, caregivers, educators, and community members also surround and support the child, while the wider system of managers, funders, and partners helps make quality care possible. This makes me reflect on how I am both a supporter of children and someone who is supported by others, and together we create the best environment for children to thrive.

Looking at the Circle of Care, I see that children will be the centre of everything, for everyone. Even for me because I choose to work with children, and with that I have my co-workers for support to help teach these children with me. Aside that I see ECE centres, parents, and much more supporting us to teach these children the right way, many many funders who are willing to help us and teach us for opportunities like this program and giving us amazing spaces to teach these children in for our future. And for that I am very grateful to be apart of this program.

When I look at the circle of care, I see that children are always in the middle of everything. They easily learn and adapt to their surroundings therefore we always have to be careful on how we teach them. The most important thing you can do to help children thrive is to give them your time, we can communicate love even without saying a word. I’m happy to be doing this and I’m thankful for my coworker, my manager, my instructor and everyone else who is teaching me more about this course. Dasha

Looking at the circle of care, i see that children don’t grow and learn alone, they are supported by many. You’re in the circle too, and also you have people around you who support your learning so you can better care for children. I think the circle of care diagram is a good reminder that children are at the centre of everything we do, and i am honoured to be part of this program.
