To recreate this photo i will need to do some research and fined an under pass in Harlow to recreate this photo. To take this photo i will maybe take it a different times of the days to get the correct lighting, because this photo has people in it i will have a couple of people included in it. What i will be doing is i will find an under pass have the people in the photo and after i get the correct angle i will then take the photo.

The photo i took for my urban photo was taken in an underpass.

Visual:
This photo has not got any colour in it as i added a black and white filter. In this photo the tone has a lot of it in it some areas have very dark tones and then there is parts with lighter tones. When it comes to the texture in this photo there isn't really any.
The photo has patterns included in it, they are on there wall and on the floor and as each light goes down the path it creates a dotted pattern. The pattern on the wall is a smooth square shape wall.
The depth of field in this photo is shown going down the middle and sides as they look further away showing depth of field . Lines in this photo wall. This photo was taken to the side so i was able to have the person to the the left more see to see the person in the photo more. Space in this photo is quite large showing a lot of detail in this photo. This photo has a large frame showing a lot of detail.

Technical:
When taking this photo the camera type i used my phone. Using this a my camera allowed me to take a good photo as it was easier to hold to get a wider range of the area. As i didn't use my DLSR camera when using my phone it didn't have any type of setting on it to look at the shutter speed and because i used my phone it didn't have the opportunity to change it and the same with aperture. For this photo it haven't edited it yet so it so no Photoshop techniques have been used took this photo at night so the only lighting that i ha as the one from the underpass which helped me to have the photo come out clearly.

Contexual:
When i did this photo it was taken at night time. Where i was able to do this photo was in an underpass at night. Why i took this photo was because i felt it was similar to the photo we could use to copy and i felt that it had the right look for urban. Who was in the photo, only one person was in the photo way at the back leaning against the wall. What i happen when i took this photo was that i asked my friend to stand at the back of the underpass and lean against the wall and then i got to a certain hight on the hill and took the photo.

This was my food & drink photo that i attempted to take to show what food a drink can be like in Essex.

Visual:
The colour of this photo was original in colour but was then changed into a black and white filter. The tones in this photo are included a lot, in the clothes of the people there are a lot of darker tones but in the background it has a lot of lighter tones. The texture in this photo is shown in the background with the bench and on the floor it's has a smooth look to it. The patterns in this photo are on the floor were there is a lot of things on the floor as it is a bumpy kind of pattern. The depth of field in this photo is shown in the people in the photo as they are the main focus. There are a lot of lines in this photo they are on the fence and bench. The framing is on the people in the photo which makes it more pleasing causing the focus to be on the people. The space of the photo is quite big and clear making most of the photo seen.

Technical:
The camera type used to take this photo was a phone camera. AS i used a phone camera there was no way of being able to know the shutter speed and aperture. This photo hasn't yet been edited so no Photoshop techniques were used yet. The only lighting that i had for this photo was slight natural daylight and street lights these were able to give me some type of lighting.

Contexual:
When taking this photo i decided to take it on a Tuesday early evening so i had the right lighting when i added a black and white filter there was lighter and darker tones shown and made the people seen clearer.Where i took this photo was in a park were we were able to find the right type of bench that i wanted in this photo. Why i decided to take this photo in the park was as a good place to take it for food and drink. When taking this photo i first had to find the correct location then have the people in the correct position the i was able to take the photo. Who was in the photo was two friends that were willing to pose the way i needed them too. What was in the photo was two people eating food. How i took the photo is i made sure i was standing in the best spot so i could take the correct frame, angle to take the photo.

To improve this photo i would take the photo at a different time of day so that the photo comes out clearer as i felt that it could be clearer. Again to improve this photo i would also have the people have different food & drink in there hand and wear clothes that are more what people in Essex wear.

This photo was taken in an underpass close up towards one of the walls.

Visual:
This photo hasn't a lot of colour in it before adding the black and white filter the colour of the wall was a grey, white dirty wall and the cobwebs were a grey colour. The tones in this photo were included a lot in this photo there are dark tones at the bottom of the wall and as you look up because of the light it looks lighter. There are also dark tones in the cobwebs. The texture in the photo are mostly in the cobwebs giving a rough look. The pattern in this is also in the cobwebs as well. The depth of field in the are mostly focused on the wall and the cobweb as it's how the photo was taken. The lines in this photo are how all the bricks are positioned which creates lines on the wall. The frame of the photo is mostly focused on the wall and cobweb so the frame of the cobweb and the wall is focused more on. The space in this photo is quite small as the photo was taken closer up to have the main focus on the texture.

Technical:
The camera type used or this photo was an phone camera. The shutter speed and the aperture was unable to been known as i used an phone which had no option to change these. The Photoshop techniques have not yet been used as i haven't edited them yet. Lighting was quit close to the texture photo i had taken.

Contexual:
When taking this this photo i had to take this photo at night to have the lighting of the underpass so that the texture was seen better. Where this photo was taken was in an underpass. Why i decided to take this photo of this type of texture is i felt it looked the best for texture. Who was in the photo, no one was in this photo as it wasn't needed. What i needed to do to take this photo was to take the photo up close to take the best part of the cobweb to get the texture right. How i took it as i was close up i had to make sure the focus was good as being up close can make the focus harder to focus it.

This was my fashion photo that i took.

Visual:
The colour in this photo is mostly in the clothes and the person themselves. The tone is this photo are darker and lighter tones, the lighter tones are on the floor and the wall and the darker tones are on the clothes. The texture in this photo are mostly in the clothes and hair of the person. The pattern in this photo were mostly on the floor with a dotted kind of look. The depth of filed is in the person as the camera is further away from the person it creates depth of field and then gives the photo a sharper look. The lines in this photo are on the floor or each separate square. The framing of this photo is in the person as it is mostly focused on them. The space in the photo was quite large as i needed to get the person in when using the angle i used.

Technical:
The camera type that i used was a phone camera. The shutter speed and the aperture was not known as i used a phone and had no option to look at it or do anything to it. The Photoshop techniques used in the photo haven't been used as the photo hasn't yet been edited. The lighting in this photo was early evening natural light that was used to help me to have lighting.

Contexual:When this photo was taken it had to be taken at a certain hight at the evening. Where it was taken was near a little building were we used it to sit down and lean against. Why i decided to take this photo for fashion is i felt it was the best way to show the fashion in Essex. Who was included it the photo, i had a friend that was willing to be in the photo. What i did to take this photo was get at a certain hight to take the photo and i used my phone to take the photo. How i was able to take the photo is get to the correct hight get the right angle then make sure it's focused then i took the photo.

To improve this photo i would have the person wearing different clothes that i feel more people in Essex. Another thing that i would do was take the photo at a different angle to make it more easier for me to take the photo and maybe to get more of the clothes in the photo. One thing i could also do is take the photo a bit earlier in the day so i have better lighting and so the photo comes out more clearer.

Equipment needed:
*Timer
*4 trays: developer,stop bath ,fixer,water
*Timer
*Enlarger
*Photo sensitive paper
* The room is dark and the only light used is a red filter so it stops light affecting the photo.

The process:

Step 1: The first thing that i need to do set up the in enlarger and put it in the corret place and to check this i used the red filter see if the photo was placed in the enlarger correctly. Before doing my proper one i got a test strip of photo sensitive paper then using a piece of card i was exposing the image.

step 2: The next thing to do after take the test strip and put it into the first tray for 2 minutes in this tray was developer, the developer causes the image to develop . After two minutes i put it into the second treat for 30 seconds which had stop bath in it, the stop bath stops the developer from processing. When it came to the third tray which had fixer in it i had to leave it in there for 30 seconds, the fixer stops it from turning purple. The last thing i needed to do was put it into the water for 15 minutes or more, the water washes all of the chemicals off the photo.

Step 3: Was to put it into the heater to let it dry. Then the photo was ready.

Problems:
There was a couple of problems that i faced when in the darkroom these were:

*Someone could open the other door exposing the light.
*Someone could turn on the lights.
*Someone could get a headache.
*If the chemicals get into people eyes they could go blind.
*Because it's dark someone could falls over.

Solutions:

Equipment needed:
*Timer
*4 trays: developer, stop bath, fixer, water
*Timer
*Enlarger
*Photo sensitive paper
*The room is dark and the only light used is a red filter so it stops light affecting the photo

The process:

Step 1: The first thing i did was to take the photos using a film camera.

Step 2: The second thing that we needed to do was remove the film from the canister and then fed it into the spiral centre reel tank and then cut the film so the lugs on the spiral could protrude.

Step 3: The third step was to load the film. To di this i had to push it gently and continue to do this until it was done.

Step 4: The next step i needed to do to the film was to put it into the dev tank and then wait for the film to be fully loaded and then cut the film spool off and make sure the film is fully on the spiral. Then we added all of the chemicals and then put it onto the film and hang them up to dry.

Step 5: This step was the step where we had to get all of our films put them onto of the photo sensitive paper, put glass onto to keep them from moving then i had to move the enlarger to make sure it was in focus and make sure my photo was to make sure it fitted into the 6 by 4 square , then i had to pushed the red button and wait for the seconds to count down and after doing this a couple of times we had to put them into the trays.

Step 6: This step wads to put the test strip into the first tray which had developer in it and i had to leave it in there for 2 minutes. After two minutes i had to put it into the next tray which contained stop bath and leave it in there for 30 seconds. When the 30 seconds past i had got out it into the third tray for 5 minutes this tray contained fixer. The fourth and finale tray contained water and we had to leave it in there for 20 minutes.

Step 7: The last thing was to put it into the heater to dry it and then it was finished. After i did the test strip of the film i had to choose one photo and to another test strip on that photo and i then had to do what i didi before again. After this i was able to do the photo again instead of a test strip yet again i needed to do all of the same steps as before then i was done.

Problems:

* The first problem i had was that because i only did 2 seconds each time it may of not been enough time for it.
*The second time i did a test strip it still wasn't enough but it was better.
*Sometimes the photo didn't show up.

Solutions:

*The first thing i could do to solve one of the problems is to change the time to be longer to make it show the photo when it's in the trays.
