Class 3 Day 3

1 To me, the most common problem in my district related to teaching speaking is that most of the students have low confidence for speaking English and as a result of this situation, they are afraid of Making mistakes. Because they don't mostly dare to speak thinking that they will make a mistake again as a result of low confidence, we, as a teacher in our district, have a serious problem concerning teaching speaking

2. I strongly believe that the ideas and suggestions I have learnt today's speaking sessions will be a strong support for me to tackle the common problem in my district. We have watched videos named ' building confidence in speaking ' and ' Feedback for Speaking '. Thanks to valuable ideas and suggestions this video offered us like ' Do not interrupt the students when they make a mistake. Take notes and talk about them kindly after speaking has finished. Or you can make the students check each others' mistakes. For confidence, you can give more time for those who have low confidence in speaking English. By doing this, the students will gradually build more confidence in speaking English.
