This battle was fought in 9/1861 it was a small affair nothing big so it didn't effect the civil war.Lee division 2 pronged attack against fort milroy on cheat mountains and there troops held at nearby Elk water. The attack on the fort was lunched on the 12th.I had no effect that why he returned to bade on the 17th.
