China is on the continent of Asia and is the third largest country in the world.

The longest river in China is the River Yangtze and it is the third longest river in the world.

About 50,000 babies are born in China every day.

The Chinese language Mandarin , is the most used language in the world.

Thousands of years ago Chinese discovered silk and they were so proud of this discovery that no strangers were told how to make it for 3,000 years.

If you were standing on the moon and you were looking down at planet earth the only man made thing you would be able to see is The Great Wall of China.

Over a million workers and soldiers spent 10 years working on The Great Wall of China.

The Great Wall of China is 3,000 kilometers long, 7 metres in height and 9 metres in width.

Many workers who were building the Wall died from hunger and exhaustion and were buried beneath the wall which was considered to be the longest graveyard in the world.

A fort was built every 200 metres along the Wall which meant that in olden times anyone trying to cross it could be shot by an arrow and killed.
