Images do have a lot of power, in how we see the world. Depending on what we are shown or not shown, a lot of different interpretations can arise. That is why we should put into considerations that there is never a "single story" and our view on the the world is just one of many.

It is very common for people to draw conclusions with very little context of the situation, I think that's why it's very important to be informed before making a comment or assuming something you're not really sure of. In this case it is just a photograph, but there are times when this situation occurs on more serious issues.

On second thought, the fact that a person can sleep that way and so freely in a store is something that does not happen very often, so everything makes more sense to know the background of the history of photography.

Apart from that we should be conscious about the pictures and photos we are making and showing to other people. Which details are shown in a photo and which not? Which picture or better said "pictures" do we want to show of Mexico to our friends/family?

I also thought that there is something off with the picture bc normally supermarkets would not allow homeless persons to sleep in the supermarket. So I agree that the image is deceiving at some level. But maybe to see some connection also with the final information in which context the image was really taken, both would point to a criticism of capitalism.
