Martin Luther king jr was born in Atlanta Georgia, January the 15th 1929. Martin Luther King jr’s father who was martin luther king was named after the famous Martin Luther. King jr got a doctorate degree in theology which we would later use to help organize the first big protest of the African-American civil rights movement in 1955. This movement was inspiring by Mohandas Gandhi. He was the first president of the southern Christian leadership conference. On the 4th of April 1968 martin Luther king jr was sniped in a motel in Memphis and was rushed to hospital but later dies to the injuries. The man who killed him was James earl ray and he was a fugitive who was later arrested on June 8th, 1968. He was then sentenced to 99 years in the Tennessee state penitentiary. Martin Luther king’s jr’s family later then filed a law suit of 10 million dollars because they believe it was about money but about the U.S government.

Why Martin Luther King Jr was truly Radical

The way that martin Luther king jr has changed encouraged more of an open-minded view was the way he protested for black rights in America. When Martin Luther King did his I have a dream speech he said many things that opened up people’s minds to think in different ways. Such as one day black kids and white kids will go to the same school. This showing that anything is possible.
The way martin Luther king jr used his power to change violence was talking about his own experience. Growing up as an African American and not having as much privileges as the white Americans did, Luther wanted to change this so that everyone could be equal. Violence has always been a big part of Americas history as white people used to have the black people as slaves. These slaves would often get abused. This is why Luther used his power to help stop violence.

Martin Luther King jr risked his own wellbeing to help others by being a black rights activist. This means he was fighting for those who felt like they didn’t have a say. Luther putting himself out there could have been a very harmful thing as many white people would have felt that this wasn’t right, and he got a lot of racial and hate comments for it.The people that Martin Luther king jr offended on his journey was the white Americans. Luther may have said somethings towards them, but it was only to help the country out. He just wanted change so that everyone one was equal. In the end this cost Luther his life as he was shot.

Martin Luther King Jrs World Views

Martin Luther King jrs Worldview can be seen in his famous I have a dream speech. In this speech he says many famous quotes that are still referenced today. One of the main quotes that shows his world view is "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character." At the time when Luther was alive the world was in a state of war and violence. The world was run by white people as they were the ones that had more wealth and saw black people as not real people. The worldview of others in his community were quite similar to Luther’s. Martin Luther King jrs worldviews were peace and equality. These are the things that he was fighting for change between his community and wider community’s. Martin Luther king was a Baptists minster and a leader of a Christian conference. Many of his worldviews came from being a Christian and he inspired others to change their world views to be similar to his. Others in America who didn’t follow a religion had similar world views such as peace as many wars were happening, but equality was not important to everyone.

When reading about martin Luther king jr there has been many inspiring things that I have read about. Firstly, how he stepped up to go against something that he thought wasn’t right and how people who didn’t have much of a voice followed him. He inspired others to believe in themselves and go with what they thought was right which Is pretty cool. Secondly the speech that he did in front of those thousands on thousands of people would have taken so much courage to get up there and say some pretty controversial stuff and to think that no one would try and kill him for what he said. Eventually someone did shoot him as they may have not agreed with what he said. Lastly the way he pushed the boundaries in terms of racial ways and fighting for equality in the way he did just shows that anything is possible.
