         <description><![CDATA[<p>The frescoes inside St maria foris portas show that the Lombards did learn how to paint with aincient perspective and had an interest in naturailst depictions. The artist was porbs from east rome. The landscape and ciaroscuro was like that of rome or the early renessance. This was contemporary with the simple symbolic lombard style.</p>]]></description>

Connected with roman iconography to harken back to the days where milan was roman capital. The image where Volvino is beeing coronated by st Ambrigio is a sort of signature.</p>]]></description>
