The things I discovered about France

  • In France you can marry a dead person
  • France has produced some of the world’s most influential writers and thinkers
  • France made history in 2016 by banning supermarkets from throwing out unsold food items.
  • The French are responsible for creating the metric system of weights and measures in 1793.
  • Potatoes were once illegal in France. Between 1748 and 1772 the French thought that potatoes caused leprosy.

    Here's what I found:

    Women 
    The proportion of women in work has increased significantly since 1993. This show us that Luxembourgers value Women.

    Personal Life
    Asking personal questions are taboo, and personal life rarely interferes with work life. They are very professional on what they're doing. 

    How they are
    Luxembourgers are quite reserved and formal but once you establish a relationship, they will feel more comfortable. 

    Gifts and Arriving
    Here is one that I couldn't imagine that this was real. In Luxembourg if you are invited to someone’s home, it is wise to bring a box of chocolates or flowers to the host.

    Here are some funny Taboos I found about Luxembourg:
    * Chewing gum in public or professional environment is impolite.
    * It is also impolite to put your shoes or feet up on chairs or tables, including on public transports.

  • The first and second stereotype is true, the crime rate in Belgium is low and they have a high safety level;
  • The third stereotype is wrong cause they have a lot of famous people in belgium. But, the only famous Belgians are fictional (Tin Tin, the Smurfs, Hercule Poirot ). But this simply isn’t true. There are plenty of famous Belgians, but most people tend to think they come from somewhere else (usually France, to the Belgians’ great annoyance).
  • In Belgium we can eat a variety of foods. The idea that in Belgium only burguers and french fries are eaten is wrong.
  • The political system in Belgium isn't perfect but it's better than in other countries.
  • The last stereotype is true, Belgian people drink a lot of beer and sparkling water too.
