A lot of people immigrate into this country to get a new start at life or to better their families. Thousands of Americans have dreams of being rich and famous. They dream about living in big houses and driving nice cars. Miley has this dream to become a big pop star and aqquire all the luxuries that come along with this profesion. Later on in the song she sings "So I put my hands up, They're playin' my song, the butterflies fly away, I'm noddin' my head like, yeah, Movin' my hips like, yeah". Miss Cyrus finally makes it big and hears her song on the radio and knows she's made it(the butterflies fly away). She is abused both mentally and physically as a child. She got out of Mexico and went to the U.S.A. When she lived in Mexico she said she was living in "some kind of Hell in this strange place of broken beauty." Reyna Grande did not enjoy living in Mexico and saw it as a "living hell". Showing that she hated it, she saw it as a firey place with no love. The American dream means different things to different people, however. Far fewer Americans say “becoming wealthy” is essential to the American dream than say the same about personal freedom and a good family life." It shows that the majority of people believe they can achieve the American Dream.
