1. Write the composer and title of the piece. (ex. Tchaikovsky, 1812 Overture)

2. Write the SQUILT Letter and Question #. (ex. A4 or B5)

3. Answer Question.

4. Put your initials at the bottom. (ex. VC)

1. If this music was in a movie, what would be happening?

2. What color best describes this music?

3. What product could you be selling with this music?

4. Do you like the sound of this music? Why or why not (in music terms).

5. What mood or feeling would go with this music?

6. What do you enjoy most about this music?

7. How does this music make you want to move?

8.If this piece was a painting, what would it look like?

9. Who would you share this music with? Why?

10. If this music was theme music for a school subject, what subject would it be?

2. Do you hear any rhythmic patterns?

3. Is this piece major or minor?

4. Musical period: Do you think this music was written recently or a long time ago.

5. Articulation: Is the music short and choppy (stacatto) or smooth and flowing (legato).

6. Have you ever heard music similar to this piece? Where? When?

7. Texture: Is there a lot going on at once? Is the texture thick or thin?

8. Tempo: Is the tempo fast or slow?

9. Pitch: Are the featured instruments mainly high or low?

10. Dynamics: What marking would you give to represent the dynamics at the beginning, middle, and end of the selection?
