         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Signs and Symptoms</strong></div><ul><li>Symptoms include constant infections such as recurrent otitis media, sinusitis, viral pneumonia, diarrhea, upper respiratory infections, epiglottitis, and pertussis. (Signaling)</li><li>Basically lots of infections.</li><li>Caused by the lack of function of T-cells (cells that fight against infections and disease) due to lack of magnesium transporter</li><li>Magnesium transporter production is slowed by XMEN disease</li></ul><div><strong>Possible Treatments</strong> </div><ul><li> Treatments include Hematopoietic stem cell transplant, replacing mutated gene with a new, normal gene. Effectiveness of transplant has been proven.</li><li>Continuous oral magnesium threonate supplementation has shown promising results (Genetic)</li></ul><div><strong>Life Expectancy</strong> </div><ul><li> The life expectancy of a victim of EBV lymphoma can be as small as about 30 d (most commonly a result of XMEN)</li></ul><div><strong>Prenatal Testing </strong></div><ul><li> Prenatal tests consist of collected samples of magnesium transporter from the baby and testing the effectiveness and the amount of magnesium transporter present in the body.</li></ul>]]></description>
