I did this on the first half of April, every morning before breakfast and classes and the lenght was between 8 to 10 lines. The first days I started with lines and circles, then with sentences using only the left hand and on the last days I tried to write with both hands at the same time

On the first days it was hard to draw simple lines and circles and I ended up with a little pain in the musles of my hand, I really want to go fast which was a little frustraiting because speed meant ugly circles and lines. On the third day I started to see a considerable improvement with my speed and the presition so I started to write. What on the first days was uncomfortable and frustraiting became into a goos sensation because I was seeing an improvement. On the last days, I was writing with both hands and I noticed that I had to concentrate really hard in order to write each letter the right way with each hand, little distractions made me draw some letters differently, especially with my right hand (maybe I was too focused on the left one) but with the days the effort to concentrate was less demanding.

By doing this I think I'm using and enhancing communication between both of my hemispheres and the corpus callosum; my prefrontal cortex has been probably enhancing the cognitive flexibility (especially at the end that I use both hands). My occipital lobe probably was confused when I knew what I wanted to write but my hands were not replicating that accurately (confussing letter b with d, etc), and I think this was a big one for my cerebellum because it was not easy at all but we did it!

I'm an individual that likes to try new things, especially for learning. I'm a kinesthetic learner so witnessing results and the process of experimenting with something new is very fascinating to me, so probably this is why I felt very curious about this activity. I will continue writing with both of my hands at the same time at least once per week because it has been making me feel energized.

I chose crochet because since I started to do it last november I could not stoped. I love the idea of creating my own items and everytime I crochet one thing I'm already thinking about what will I do next. Crochet is addictive because it gives you a reward made with love by yourself for yourself

Since in week 10 we had the opportunity to crochet I grabed a yarn I had and started a scarf, when I checked the rubric of thiss assignement I inmediately knew I wanted to do something crocheted so I designed a top, the top took me 22 hours (2 yarns of 140 mg) distributed in 9 days, so I apporximately crochetted 2 and a half hours per day. I must admit that at this point I am faster that past months.

Physically I sometimes had to stopped due to pain on my thumb and the carpal tunnel (this happened on the easter day-off). Emotionally: I get very excited, I really loved the result of the top because it had the style I imagined and the color I chose, as i said before this is addictive. I felt some frustration some times when i realized I missed one or two stitches so I had to undo a portion of the work, fix it and re do it, also at the end I was a little sad because before trying the result I thought I made my measures wrong but the material is very flexible so it fitted perfectly.
Cognitively I think that while working onthe second part of the top (the back) my moto neurons mastered this beacuse now I can participate in a talk and watch tv while crochetting, sometimes my hands go faster than my plans so I have to slow down a little.

I think that crochetting activates my visual cortex, cerebellum, occipital lobe, corpus callosum, the putamen, and the nucleus accumbens.

This is an activity that maybe sometimes because of the addiction brings pain on the dominant hand.
