She wanted the actual emancipation of the slaves, and the end of racism, in the U.S. and in the world. She also fought for womens rights. In her time, the nineteenth century, few would dare say such things, because the people who benefited from these oppressions were the most powerful ( they still are). The whole society was in the very beginning of tearing down slavery, and both women and black people were viewed as lesser. Many used religion to justify the status quo, and by using it to do the opposite, Sojourner Truth managed to speak to people who otherwise would probably have killled her.

I am proud of brave women like Sojourner who fight for these causes nowadays. Agree with you. - Luisa

As a black woman, it was way more challenging for Sojourner than for other people to express her opinion and succeed on fighting for what she wanted, since she had no power and credibility in the eyes of a racist and male chauvinist society.
That's why when Sojourner started speaking and opposing this system, she was putting her life in risk and struggling for emancipation of slaves and a more equal community.
Exactly! - Larissa

She was a strong and brave woman, she inspired lots of peploe, more the black people and the women, she is an example of never giving up, she met Abraham Lincon, and, if we see her past we can see she could give up and live her life, but she inspired in this same past to go show for people that we can do and be anything we want. Of course she inspired lots of people even these days we live.

Sojourner Truth was a powerful black woman that fought against a slavery society and succeeded. Mostly because of her strength and persistence, she brought together Americans who were against the end of the slavery and the power of the woman on the society in a complicated time because she believed on the best of the people and the freedom of everyone. The fight against the segregation and the chase after her family and their freedom was a dangerous path which completely worth it, making many other lives better. Although her chances were not high, the unexpected support of the population helped her to make the victory.

Her activism, strength, grapple and persistence certainly made the difference in many people’s life, mainly the woman and black ones.
