This piece by Artemisia Gentileschi is very intriguing to me because it shows two ladies attempting to cut a man’s neck off, we can see that their attempt is working because there is blood all over and the guy seems desperate to get out of their grasp. I read that this piece was very iconic because it was something that the contemporaries didn’t expect from a woman in this time, she is a strong woman in femininity.

This piece made by Pieter Bruegel the Eldest is very interesting to look at because the more you look at it the more you see. When I first saw this piece I saw the very yellow tones and many people in the painting, the further I observed I saw that all the people are in motion. When I read about this piece about 200 kids playing over 80 games I thought about my childhood almost every day being outside and playing games. I can imagine all the places we’d spend over time looking at this painting.

In Paris, during the Renaissance, this painting (Virgin and Child by Giovanni-Batista Cima da Conegliano) was one of the first paintings of Humanism. It had the anatomy of a real human and did not look like a two dimensional stick figure which they had before. But the colors are the most important thing about this piece, because it is one of the first paintings to use color in a realist way

I was looking at children playing, I notice there are maybe over 60 children play different games with each other. The photo was helpful to see because it showed children playing and actually having fun, I would have thought that children back then didn’t have much fun or even had time to play.
