And So Dependent is pretty much the opposite it is if the outcome of one event influences the probability of the other they aren't independent. So pretty much the difference is that independent when you picking a card but not affecting the second event and dependent is affecting the 2nd event.
 For Example, Dependent if you pick a card and without replacing and picking another card is Dependent.

But it isn't actually what always happen. The experimental probability is what actually happens when you try it out.
