Germany then began building up her army, navy and made plans for war, as well as several alliances.

After the Kaisers abdication following the war Germany became a democracy. This era is called the Weinmar Republic. The leader of the Weinmar republic was a man named Friedrich Ebert. He was less focused on the military side unlike the previous Kaiser. However many people we very cross with Ebert. As he and his constituents signed the Treaty of Versailles that made mockery of what was once a very proud country people called the Weinmar the "November criminals" and believed that they had sold them down the river. The Germans didn't believe they had lost and felt that the government had turned its back on their brave soldiers.
