1. Soft problem

One Soft problem that related to the scenario is pressure that the workers felt during the process. The workers knew that they must performed the work accurately and details must be done perfectly to avoid any misfortune in long term timeliness such as collapse building due to poor execution of the construction. Likewise, the pressure from the manager to complete the building construction within the deadline add more pressure. No definite ways cant be implemented to cope with the problem as different people have different way of relaxing themselve to reduce the pressure felt during working.

2.Hard problem

Insuffiecient number of workers contribute to problems in completing the building within allocated time .This is due to lack of energy to complete such big building. However ,this problem can be solved by hiring some workers .More workers means more energy hence will minimize the problems to complete the building

Members name :
1.Nur Hafiza Binti Azman (2016655622)
2.Nor'ain Syahirah Binti Norazman(2016655722)
3.Nur Syahirah Binti Azemi (2016655656)
4.Nur Syafiqah Binti Sayuti (2016655646)

1. Hard Problem
One of the hard problem that related to the scenario is delay in a construction. This problem can be overcome by asking for a production schedule with the construction contract so that the workers can monitor the contractor’s progress. When there is a problem and there are delays, these delays need to be addressed as quickly as possible. Regardless of whose mistake it is, the workers need to communicate regularly in regards to construction delays.

2. Soft problem
One of the soft problem that related to the scenario is lack of motivation in the workers. Some of the workers might have problems that lowering their motivation or maybe bored of doing repeated task everyday, thus this will affect their performances and this will take longer time in completing the building construction. This problem has no definite ways to overcome as the workers might have different way of increasing their motivation. For example, in order to boost up their motivation, some workers might need bonuses. While others need a break in order to rest their body and gain back their focus and concentration.

Group members:
1. Nor Atikah Adrina binti Ahmad Teridi (2016655644)
2.

Soft problem

One soft problem that we can relate to the scenario is motivation. When the construction worker loses motivation in doing their work, the employee cannot complete the construction of the building within the period specified by their manager. Because the worker loses motivation, they will also lose focus and self-esteem in performing work. There is no sure way to increase motivation to the employee unless the manager takes action to rise his employee motivation level

Hard problem

Additional cost occurring during construction. This is because of unforeseen conditions such as wrong ordering of soil. Wrong usage type of soil will lead to the dangerous or circumstances of their construction. So the solutions to this hard problems is, they must ask early unexpected cost in their budget agreement before construction starts. Other than that, they may ask for extra cost to the client and do budget agreement again if the constructions have already begin.

Nur Raihan Binti sabri (2016655742)

Nur Najwa Binti Abd.

Soft problem- Noise pollution that emitted by the construction such as clearing of land, excavation, site preparation, clean up and landscaping. There is no definite way to avoid this soft problem because workers themselves wear hearing protection and these activities will definitely lead to noise pollution.

Hard problem- Insufficient of safety equipment. For example, let say if the workers do not wear a hard hat because the number of hard hats are less than the number of workers, accident may occur. This problem can be avoided by the manager by buying more safety equipment. Next, if the workers and the supervisor did not put a construction sign near the construction site, innocent people can be harmed if any accident happen. One of the ways to avoid these problems is manager has to take an action to increase the level of safety in the construction area.

1. Hard Problem

Examples of hard problem that can be related is the cost and schedule overrun. An improper construction management and miscommunication often result in schedule overrun. Proper schedule management is needed to assign every single worker with their respective tasks . Whereas, if any errors or defects occur during the construction phase that would be one of the causes of cost overrun where more cost is needed to cover the damaged part of the building or any casualties and also the cost for reconstruction.

2. Soft Problem

One soft problem that can be related is the fatigue of each individual construction worker working at the construction site. Fatigue has both mental and physical causes which makes it hard to define qualitatively or even qualitatively . Every workers has their own limits of strength, some reach fatigue faster than others. Even external matters which disrupts their mental health is also affecting their fatigue.

Group

Muhammad Nurhaziq bin Mohd Fauzi-2016655748

Muhammad Zakwan bin Zakaria-2016655674

Muhammad Arif bin Rudi-2016655602

Muhammad Zahid bin Zorkeflei-2016655652

Soft problem
One of the soft problem in a construction is lack of communication between workers and contractor. Worker don’t follow the formula on mixing cement, which make the structure of cement weak. The building contractor decide to destroy the whole floor because if the contractor let the weak structure remain there, it won’t pass the building and construction inspector check. Its is also dangerous to let that structure remain there. The time taken to destroy the entire floor will waste the actual time schedule. There surely have delay on the project. The contractor also need increase the budget on the raw material because of the cement need to be replace.

Hard problem
One of the hard problem in a construction is contractor using the poor grade material and untrained worker in order to lower the budget. The use of improper material can reduce the building strength. Work quality of untrained workers will result in bad omen to the client such as overrun schedule and having bad structural qualities.

Muhammad Nur Fitri Bin Rusli (2016655684)
Clana Anak Ritiw (2016655618)
Muhammad Zahiruddin Bin Mazlan (2016631254)

Hard Problem

Construction industry should rely on latest technology. Technology adoption is crucial in the building construction because technology has transformed the industry and whoever cannot keep up will be left behind. This has become especially true as competition increases both in attracting workers and competing for projects. Necessary construction technology includes cloud-based software, integrated collaboration and mobile project management. Companies must be strategic when implementing new technology. Companies also should implement technology slowly and steadily to reap its benefits with minimal blowback from employees.

Soft Problem

The soft problem for the picture above is different language use by the worker.Because of that it cause the miscommunication between workers and their colleagues or between workers and their supervisor. it also can make the work progress a little bit slower because of the language use is different between each other.

Nurul Hasina Bt Kamal Bashah (2016655636)

Siti Nur Shakirah Bt Suhaimi (2016655614)
