By using gamification into the classroom especially in this paper which is the Kahoot medium, the writers elaborate more on the advantages of using it to improve the student’s reading comprehension during lesson. Throughout this research paper, there are five sections which are the introduction of the topic, the methodology of the research, the result from the survey made, further discussion on the result, and lastly the writers also explained on the limitation that they faced during the research period. Gamification allows students to learn in an interactive way and able to enhance their reading comprehension. This method is familiar with nowadays era as the teacher and the learners and exposed to used gadgets in their daily life, thus implementing this method into the classroom might be a good starting for both, students and teachers.

Using Computer-Assisted Language Learning In Classrooms: What Does Research Say About Teachers' Beliefs And Practices?

It discussed teachers' opinions regarding CALL implementation in the classroom, how it helped improve the learner's experience, and how it is implemented.

The belief of teachers greatly influences the way they integrate cutting-edge technology into their instructional planning. However, those who have positive beliefs about technological education do not mean that they would implement it in their classroom due to several reasons that need to be dealt with such as lack of infrastructure and training. 

This activity proves to be beneficial for students who would like to find the best app to learn a foreign language. Multiple apps have been suggested along with the advantages and disadvantages of the app. This gives prospect for the user to see which app will benefit them most.

There are multiple apps out there that can aid your learning process of a foreign language.  As learners, applications that have been introduced in this activity can scaffold them in their language learning as the apps have come up with interactive and real life scenario to apply the language. Not only that but it facilitates independent learning.

 In the classroom, I will use applications like kahoot which still needs the active role of a teacher to guide the students in knowledge creation.

iii.      Mostly, male students performed better than female students because according to Su and Rounds (2015), women, in general, are more interested in people-oriented working fields while men are more interested in things-oriented working fields. These authors also reported that women are the minority in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

 The article gave insight into how the usage of CALL impacts the students’ achievement and attitude. From the finding, it can be seen that the students’ achievement using CALL (experimental group) in learning English was better compared to the controlled group. This is because the differences between the performance between the experimental group and the controlled group are huge as the experimental group is better than the controlled group. In addition, the students’ attitudes after experienced found that they were significantly motivated in learning the language. This is because none of the students opposed the use of CALL in English classrooms as most of the students highly support its use. In addition, most students agree with the use of CALL because it helped in building their confidence in learning English and it makes learning English more enjoyable.

Yes, because it is free and convenient for users. It was also nominated as  “iPhone App of the Year” in 2013 by Apple. 

It is a great opportunity to discover new software and issues about teaching and learning. As a future educator, we think the website review activity exposes us to a new variety of language software that we can incorporate in our teaching and learning. Also, the article review activity opens our eyes to the issues that we were not aware of and will benefit us in the aspect that we were lacking. 

We learned a lot of new information regarding teachers’ beliefs and practices in using CALL. For instance, how teachers’ beliefs influence the implementation of CALL in the classroom, their experiences in using CALL in the classroom and how they implemented CALL tools in their classroom. From the article, we learned that some CALL tools are not as effective. Therefore, they often resort to other methods to make up for it.

British Council - Learn English is an English learning website that helps English learners to improve their English as they provide courses and resources to learn English cater to adult English learners

The websites contain various resources for all English language skills which is reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary and grammar that is aligned with the CEFR content. It also provides students with live webinar made by expert teachers with many years' experience which created for learners at different levels that will help you improve your English.

4. What is the disadvantages?

In terms of resources and activities that they offered in the websites, students did not receive enough feedback for their works as they only received the scores that they got after completing the task in the websites. Not only that, but the online courses that they provided also are not free. Moreover, to see and join the contents from their community, the user need to become a member of the websites. Furthermore, some of the topics discussed in the ‘General English’ tab is not suitable for students in school (LGBTQ).

The objective is to investigate Dynamic’s English Course students’ perspectives on whether Quizizz is an effective online assessment tool for English teaching and learning, especially in the formative one.

The study revealed that students in the Dynamic English Course had positive opinions of Quizizz as a formative online evaluation tool for English teaching and learning. The students agreed that Quizizz is better than the conventional formative test because it has an appealing display that is entertaining and fun, students cannot cheat during the test and also promotes competition in the classroom.

Moreover, it highlights pronunciation instead of grammar, thus it is mainly focusing on those mentioned skills.
