* Efímero:  Por lo general las intervenciones de este tipo no duran por mucho, pues las paredes son pintadas de nuevo.

*Clandestino: La aparición de las obras de arte callejero suelen ocurrir durante la noche o la madrugada, de modo que la gente al día siguiente se tropiece con ellas, en lugar de verlas ocurrir.

No siempre se sabe quién es tal o cual artista callejero en vida real. 

* Extra-muros: Como su nombre lo indica, el arte callejero se encuentra en la calle, en el transporte público, en lugares cotidianos, y no en museos o lugares de exposición artística “controlados”. Hay algo de desafiante en el Street art.
