Here are the key benefits businesses can take advantage of with barcode cards:

● Offers efficiency - Scanning a plastic card barcode automatically enters a huge number of data directly into the system which works as an incredibly valuable tool for improving efficiency, recordkeeping, and streamlining. The modern structure of supply chain and inventory management won’t have been possible if it was for barcode cards. With the help of this employees and workers all around the globe get the ability to simply scan the entire pallet, crate, or shipping container for gaining information about its contents rather than just sticking to the basicness of manually entering data of every item related to every inventory and shipment into the operating system. Barcode cards allow companies all around the world to automate a key process that will not only save them save time but also money. It also helps companies in making the process of onboarding and training much less time taken as using a scanner is way easier than manually entering all data.

● Can be tracked pretty easily - For every time a plastic card barcode is scanned it created a new step of a trail of data which comes in handy when locating the items and events related to it. This helps all businesses by allowing real-time visibility into all the operations that take place. Right from identifying the recent location of a shipment to determining whether a consumer has picked up an item from the grocery store, barcode cards help both the organization and the customer in tracking down any information quickly and accurately. This also helps companies a lot in delivering an overall improved experience to their customers which in return helps in building trust and prioritizes transparency among the two. This is a big reason it is wise for businesses to opt for having barcode cards. Well believe it or not even the workplaces that have the best performance measures can experience human error, the rate of error being five to ten failures for every hundred opportunities. If you come to think of it, that is a huge number of opportunities for something to go wrong, irrespective if it takes the form of misreadings, inverted characters, illegible markings, skipped lines, or faulty keystrokes. And the worse thing is that when an error first occurs it can create a trail of errors through the whole operating system which in the long run will make it very hard to locate the original error and treat it right. But when you scan a barcode card it completely automates the whole process of data entry and also reduces any risks related to the manual errors.

● Collects data with ease - The organizations of today have heavily relied on data analytics which helps them in formulating different strategies for the different operations of the business and for making key decisions. So naturally, that calls for a demand for different ways of collecting data as more the data available more accurate will the analysis be. Plastic card barcode plays a huge role in the whole process of data collection by not only helping in gathering sufficient information about the sales activity, supply chain, and inventory but also in knowing more about the customer preference and purchase behavior. The evolution of technology comes of great help in the whole process as it helps a company know when a barcode is scanned, where it is scanned, and how many times it is scanned. It comes in handy in providing a full scale picture of all the operations that are taking place on the ground.

Key takeaway

The post sheds light on how barcodes can be used on plastic parking permits, retail setups, student ID cards, and more.
Introduction to Full-Color Printing

Full-color printing refers to a digital or offset printing process. In this process, all the colors in an image are printed together. This image can be anything- a digital logo, a painted landscape, or a photograph. We see full-color prints in magazines, billboards, stickers, mugs, book covers, and apparel, among others. Also called CMYK or 4-color print, full-color printing uses cyan, magenta, black (key), and yellow as the base shades. These four colors constitute the entire color spectrum, hence the abbreviation. The result is a rich combination of colors. These are the usual colors that are used for printing cartridges. There is also a CMYK option in software such as Photoshop.

The Process of Full-Color Printing

The full-color printing process uses a lot of vibrant colors. When combined in the correct proportion, these colors come together to print the exact image that is provided. With full-color printing, a brand can be recognized at a glance and can attract the attention of potential customers. Exact color matches cannot always be guaranteed but if you want a color match, you can print using Pantone. The different processes of full-color printing are as follows:

Pantone: This is also known as ‘spot colors’ and they are solid inks that are assigned to numbers to make sure that there is consistency in the colors. There is no guarantee that the CMYK colors will be appropriately reproduced between printers or print jobs. Printing using Pantone makes sure that the printing is accurate and converting colors of Pantone to CMYK can have a significant impact on the output. To get a full-color print job, you can use several methods. Full-color printing has generally been accepted as full-color offset printing.

Full-Color Offset: When it comes to the types of full-color printing, the offset is the most common one. The printing it gives is of superior quality. Since the quality is superior, the process is also an expensive one. Another name for full-color offset is CMYK.

Digital Printing: This process of printing involves printing directly on a product. This helps in the reduction of the set-up time as well as waste generation. Digital printing is still very much in its developmental phase and has not yet reached the accuracy level of offset printing.

Sublimation: This is another method that involves the use of colors in a medium. Then heat and pressure are applied which will transfer the hues from the medium to the object. Surfaces that can be used during sublimation printing are polyester or have a coating of the same. The color sublimates as heat is applied to the same and, as a result, absorbs into the polyester surface. The output neither fades easily nor gives in to wear and tear. The quality of printing may be slightly lower than that of digital or offset printing.

Halftones: This method involves the use of different dots of ink to reproduce a photograph or some other image. Every photo that has been printed using halftones contains CMYK colors (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black). This is one of the reasons why a full-color match cannot be guaranteed in full-color printing.

Bleed Printing: Bleed is the area that is to be trimmed off. The image will ‘bleed’ to the edge when this type of printing is employed. In case of an improper setup, the output can include a thin white border that will surround the artwork. Plastic door hangers can also be printed using full-color printing.

Benefits of Full-Color Printing

Many vendors offer full-color printing and a simple Google search will bring you a range of results that can get the job done at a reasonable price. There are several advantages of full-color printing.

Attention Grabber: Without a doubt the right combination of colors will call the attention of potential customers. If the colors have been used in the correct combination then they will turn heads. The logo will show everything that the company stands for and if the colors have a positive first impression on a potential customer, they may look up the company on the internet to know more about them. Using vibrant colors for the logo can always be a plus point.

Spread the Message: The message of the brand or the organization can be printed on t-shirts and other apparel. It can be printed on mugs, flyers, plastic door hangers- you name it. This is a great tool to extend the reach of the organization so that they can encourage more and more people to make the most of their services. The cost of getting these prints done is also not a lot.

Conclusion

There are a lot of applications of full-color printing and they will keep on growing. There will be newer and refined methods of getting full prints done. The colors used in the process are environment-friendly.
