The black death is widely thought to have been an outbreak of bubonic plauge caused by bacteria carried by fleas that lived on black rats. The rodents spread the plauge from China to Europe and it hit Britain in 1348.

If the infection spread to the victim's lungs, the disease could develop into its more venomous  form and become airborne. This  plague had the  magnitude, to spread from person to person through the air, and it was often responsible for  bad breath of the dying victim.

  •  Loose stools containing blood and mucus
  • Rash or itching around the rectum.
  • Stomach pain or tenderness.
  • Feeling tired.
