Leicester’s Neonatal HomeCare Team helps families get ready to take their baby home from the hospital. The team, led by Sister Claire Inglis, supports parents in caring for their baby by giving advice on feeding, routines, and bonding through 'kangaroo care.' They start planning for going home early on and offer lessons on important topics like baby safety and feeding. Their goal is to make sure families feel ready and supported when it’s time to leave the hospital.

Leicester Royal Infirmary cares for the tiniest and most unwell babies, while Leicester General Hospital focuses on babies who are born from 32 weeks onwards. It's common for babies to be transferred between the two hospitals, so they can receive the best care for their needs as they grow and improve.
