He really didn't want to read with me at first. When I read with him the first time he didn't want to read. He goes to get help with his reading with another teacher and he was convinced he didn't need it anymore and was throwing fits about going. But, he was really struggling with the work the rest of the class is doing. So the teacher had me read with him and it went really well he also was iffy with me because I know his sister. But the second time we read a book he picked and it was entirely different he didn't struggle like he did with the other book and this one was more difficult. I suspected he had ADHD and the teacher confirmed my suspicions so I really tried to make sure to make things interesting. Another common symptom of ADHD (also Autism) is RSD which is rejection sensitive disorder so they're sensetive to criticism so when I correct him with his reading just in case I try and tell him hes doing good and stuff like that.Hes a sweet kid. I really saw a difference in his attention when he likes something versus is forced to read it. But this is them practicing a song they're learning.
