Downfall/ Problem of Rome: Economic Situations

This problem led to the downfall of Rome because it gave them many economic troubles to endure, especially the people from the lower classes. As we know that Romans use slaves to complete tasks and jobs, it would be difficult for the Romans, if they didn't have a proper amount of slaves— due to the economic struggles— to do their work. What's worse is that the rich also profits from their slaves. By doing this, it results in the slaves suffering from severe crises of debt, especially with the poor continuously being in debt to the rich, and costs rising up as the population grows. To add, if you were someone who couldn't work you'd most likely depend on charity, or if you were that desperate you might as well commit theft.

Sources:

https://www.history.com/news/8-reasons-why-rome-fell

https://www.studentsofhistory.com/the-fall-of-rome#:~:text=Many%20of%20the%20problems%20that,could%20not%20find%20enough%20work.

https://www.wondriumdaily.com/the-life-of-a-poor-man-in-ancient-rome/

Economical Situations in the World Today

Economical situations happen all over the world, not just in Rome. Multiple places have experienced the same issues, but Economic problems seem to strike hard in Ukraine. The violent wars taking place have started inflation mainly towards products, such as gas, food, etc. As mentioned, they have grown enough food to feed 400 million people. However, farmers have a disadvantage since they are unable to grow crops in certain crop areas. Because of wars, city blockades, lack of seeds and fertilizer farmers are struggling to grow and provide food, if farmers do not start to plant crops it will cause catastrophic problems in fall. Markets, restaurants, etc. have already reacted and raised food prices up by at least twenty-five percent the last year.

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2022/04/an-unfair-war-economic-social-and-security-consequences-of-the-russian-invasion-into-ukraine/

The Roman Promblem that we can be challenged with is Reduced Inequalities. But we're talking about Religion, and the question always starts with "What Religion are you?" Religion was most common in Rome. Since its foundation, Ancient Rome was really a religious society and religious and political often. Julius Caesar, the highest priest, before he was elected as Consul, had the most increased Republican political role. When it comes to being a part of challenging power relations of privilege in studies, practice, and education many have studied the drivers, nature, and impact of Rinequalities along the lines of gender, ethnicity, race, and geography. But when it comes to inequalities of religion, these are either just only given passing acknowledgment, presented by a by-product of other inequalities, or sometimes not noticed altogether.
