A lot of the research done was about dressage and racing, which isn't interesting to everyone. Therefore to make it more interesting I feel it would be a good idea to carry out research and learn about issues and information on certain areas that we are more interested in/involved with. (Example; Eventing, Stunt, Driving, Reining
It is good to see an awareness of many disciplines but we are unfortunately bound by the time available, and areas where research has been funded. A whole topic was on Eventing and Showjumping and safety aspects of these sports. The topics of training aids, supplements, new technologies, welfare organisations were all non discipline specific. The research topics were entirely your choice so there was lots of opportunity for you to explore these options more fully - however many students chose the disciplines that you mention as this was their area of interest. This is such an extensive topic and this module is just an introduction which feeds into many of the modules to follow, especially the research. It is good to see your awareness of these topics.
