         <title>Development of the dome</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The dome was invented by the Romans and was used on the Pantheon.  The dome is built by using rounded arches and was used to make the architecture more useful by creating a hole in the top and being able to tell time by the shadow of the sun.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>aqueducts were used in Rome to transfer water to places that were far away from a water source. There are different styles of aqueducts such as ones that are raised off of the ground and ones that are like man-made rivers. Aqueducts can take water from almost any water source like wells, springs, lakes, and reservoirs.</div>]]></description>

According to Quatr.com, the Romans took spectacular Greek artists on ships to create art for Rome, they mostly took the people to be their slaves. They were also influenced by the fancy curves in front of many&nbsp; Roman and Greek sculptures.</div>]]></description>

One of the most commonly known laws is that one person is innocent until proven guilty, which is used in a government today.</div>]]></description>

After awhile they decided to pave their roads with concrete blocks along with crushed stones and little pebbles too. The Romans paved all 250,000 miles of their roads using the method stated above.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Romans mostly used their paintings for decorative purposes.  According to Scholastic.com, the Romans paintings were done on wet plaster and were used to make the room seem bigger by the indentation of the paintings. The small, flat paintings that you see on the walls of your house, are the complete opposite of the paintings that were in ancient Rome.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Different Designs</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Romans introduced many different styles of architecture and ways to build temples and other things.  According to unrv.com,  one of the styles is the Doric style, it is used to hold up large and heavy buildings and is not very attractive.  A second style is the Ionic style which has the same purpose of the Doric style but is way more attractive. And finally, the Corinthian style which is clearly fancier than all of the other styles of architecture.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><div>I see an example of the Roman government in America today because just like the ancient Romans, we have three branches of government and choose our leader by voting.&nbsp; We also have a law that states that everyone is innocent until they are proven guilty. Another similarity I see in America today is the aqueducts. The California aqueduct is very similar to the aqueducts that were built in ancient Rome.&nbsp; I also notice that our roads are also paved over just like Rome's roads.
