It began with watching Dora in spanish when I lived in Mexico then moving to the united states, I still watched Dora but in English so I was getting used to it.

Then I started reading princess books in both english and spanish.

After, I loved getting books from the school bookfair and I would also purchase diaries that had fun activities or prompts already imbedded in them which I loved, so I would write in them every day.

There is no end to my journey because I am still learning to be a better writer and keep striving for success. Brainstorming helped me a lot throughout school to jot down ideas of what I wanted to write about.

I really liked this process because it helped me organize my ideas.

I think it worked to write consecutively without breaks because then distractions set in for both myself as a student and as a teacher.
I struggled with thinking of what to write about exactly because I had so much to talk about.
This in a classroom will look organized, planned, with purpose, and can help students with their ideas in a quiet setting.

I really like utilizing the free writing technique and the listing one as well because it helps me just dump everything on paper and say what is on my mind. This helps because once you have a pen and paper or typing something out, you just keep going and it gives you more ideas.

In my classroom I really want to incorporate free writing for at least 10 minutes once a week in order to help my students start thinking of what to write and eventually get that writing to something published.

What worked was that I was able to share my ideas clearly and connect them to my writing, and it helped me see what was strong in my draft and how I could adjust it.

I liked being able to share with the class instead of just keeping it to myself. I also liked that I was able to capture a memory with vivid details and things that stood out to me.

I did not like that some parts felt a bit long and I wanted to get straight to the point, but there were so many things happening.

What I would do differently next time is to be more concise and expand on my sentences, as well as making my ending more interesting. I would also submit my paper earlier so that I can receive feedback from people and have more ideas on how to expand my writing.

I chose to research about Halloween
