It is a strong base and can make chemical reactions with a range of chemicals. The way of producing NaOH can greatly improve productivity in industries.</p>]]></description>

The balanced equation for this reaction is C4H10 + 13/2O2 -&gt; 4CO2 + 5H2O. This reaction is very important to everyday life as butane is an extremely accessible gas making it a great resource to use for a task as simple as igniting gas for a lighter. </strong></p>]]></description>

In this case, calcium oxide and water combine to form calcium hydroxide.</p><p>Process in Construction: When quicklime is mixed with water, it undergoes a reaction that releases a lot of heat and forms calcium hydroxide. The calcium hydroxide is an important component in mortar and plaster, because it provides durability and strength once it sets and dries.</p><p>Properties: The reaction not only results in a new chemical compound but also releases heat.</p><p>In  construction , calcium hydroxide is extremely important for creating materials that bind bricks or stones or create sturdy walls.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Kai Babiy</p><p>2NaHCO3 –&gt; Na2CO3 + H2O + CO2 (Decomposition)</p><p><br/></p><p>In this formula, we see what happens when the Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking soda) absorbs heat in the baking of cookies. The Carbon dioxide in the reaction becomes the bubbles in the cookies, and this is what ends up letting the cookies get a golden crisp to them as the polymer chains get broken down.</p><p><br/></p><p>This formula is very important in cooking, as baking soda always allows for dough to become yummy treats, giving them crispiness, fluff, or just spreading them out. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>One of the most common chemical reactions on Earth is Photosynthesis which is part of the process that all plants use to create energy. The exact reaction is <strong>6CO<sub>2</sub> + 6H<sub>2</sub>O → C<sub>6</sub>H<sub>12</sub>O<sub>6</sub> + 6O<sub>2</sub>. </strong>This means that the reactants, six carbon dioxide molecules and six water molecules, are converted by light energy captured by chlorophyll into a sugar molecule and six oxygen molecules, the products. This reaction is classified as a single displacement reaction in which the Carbon in the CO<sub>2</sub> is displaced into the water molecule creating glucose. </p><p><br></p><p>This reaction is essential for the function of all things in plants as it in combination with cellular respiration creates the energy cycle in the body.          <description><![CDATA[<p><br/></p><p>Caramelization is a complex chemical reaction when sugar is subjected to heat. it involves breaking down sugar molecules into simpler compounds and removing water molecules from the sugar. this is known as a non-enzymatic browning reaction.</p><p><br/></p><p>when oxidation in the sugar occurs, it turns a golden brown colour and the flavour changes. the high temperatures the sugar is subjected to also lead to the new formation of compounds. Complex sugars, such as sucrose (table sugar)  break down into glucose and fructose.
