The teachers were very enthusiastic about using the digital tools. As most of them are well-versed with the usage of online tools, they readily agreed to try them out. One of the Maths teachers used the Padlet to post questions to the students. She chose the topic Multiplication. She framed five questions for them. Besides this, I have created a quiz on Mentimeter and Kahoot.

These online tools are very interesting but the students will have to be taken to the computer lab in order to make them do the assignments. If they are sent as home assignments, parents may have to be around, as some of them may not be comfortable with the idea of their children using computers without their supervision.

As my system is not allowing Padlet to use the camera and microphone, I am putting down my thoughts here in words.

This was an opportunity for me to revisit all the worksheets and quizzes I had made during Covid! They were extremely effective tools for online schooling. However, in the physical setup, we are unable to use these tools effectively as parents want to restrict screen time for their children. I have converted some of the quizzes into worksheets and used them in my classes.

BookWidgets was another excellent tool I had used extensively. It has way more question types than Google Form and has a very attractive layout.

Today used padlet flowchart option for the topic I have done in class

I have put down my assignment in words. We have been using some of these tools during our online classes at the time of pandemic . It proved to be very effective for teaching or assessing a topic. Though this will not be possible to do it on regular basis as the computer lab will be busy and if sent home parents find it difficult due to their busy schedule and want less screen time for their children.

Teachers readily agreed to work on these tools.

I have submitted 3 teachers work

Grade 2 teacher has done on quizzers for adjective and numbers

Grade 5 teacher has used padlet for geometry angles and multiplication and Grade 5 teacher has used google form to assess on Latitude and Longitude

Latitudes and Longitudes

The Google Form is intended to assess how far the students have understood the

chapter -Locating Places on Earth – Latitudes and Longitudes. The questions have

been framed as per the Bloom’s Taxonomy – Recalling facts, explaining ideas, drawing

connections between ideas and application of knowledge.
