Was held for 200 architects to design the town hall - the task was appointed to two architects - William Hill (from Leeds) and George Woodhouse (local).

Art and DT - Designing a Town Hall and for those that can making it!

Drama - create a room from the Town Hall in your classroom (Art & DT) and create a scene or several scenes (carousel) that you imagine would have happened back in the day.

English - speaking and listening - communication!!! Maybe explore the Bolton accent!

History - learning about the history of Bolton's Town Hall and Bolton's heritage. Further research can be done on the designing and building of the Town Hall and the architects involved.

Georgraphy - Map skills! Can we walk to the Town Hall from our school (if local) by using a map?

Firstly take your ideas from the Town Hall trip and create a room from the Town Hall in the classroom-this includes costumes! Create a scene or a carousel of scenes (table to table) based around what you imagine would have happened back in the day. e.g. Create a banquet hall and set up and dramtise a dinner party.
