"God sees everything' repeated Wilson"(Fitzgerald pg. 159) djperusse100 https://padlet.com/djperusse100/z4578ehp57xl/wish/335117415 This quote is from when Michaelis was trying to comfort Wilson.  Wilson is stating the evidence that Myrtle was cheating on him, saying that she had an expensive dog leash, she had a broken nose, and that when she ran into the street it looked like she was running to the car.  Wilson starts to discuss what he told her that night, and how he said that God sees everything. While he says this he stares at the Eyes of T. J. Eckleburg.

(Fitzgerald pg.23) ygnguyen100 https://padlet.com/djperusse100/z4578ehp57xl/wish/335196615 This quote is when Tom and Nick went down to Manhattan and incidentally both were stopping at the Ash Valley and from the first things that reflected on Nick's eye was a gigantic billboard in the middle of nowhere. So surprisingly about the strange thing was not beautiful at all by the description with an 'enormous yellow spectacles" and the 'non-existent nose' would scare enough to see the horrible looking when it neglected for so long. From that point, it's clear from this personification of an unusual object that these yellow eyes could stand for something huge, something can compare to the higher authority with a position as a watcher.

Talking about the Ash Valley, it hardly to skip Myrtle, George' wife, cheating on him with other person name Tom, a wealthy man, and both seem very strong connectto the Eyes of T.J.Eckleburg.
The Eyes of T.J.Eckleburg is compare as a person who watch down like God, and judging America society. So Myrtle and Tom is a character who represented to the bad behavior, cheating and trouble maker, reflect well the America society during that time.

Eckleberg the most is Lies and Deceit.  This is due to the fact that anytime the eyes are seen is when there is something immoral going on or when someone is referencing an immoral act.  The first time we see the eyes is when we first meet Myrtle, Tom's mistress, and Nick says the eyes were like the eyes of God.  The next time the eyes are seen is when we meet the owl eyed man, who is in Gatsby's library, as he believes that the books are fake.  The eyes are used throughout the text as the omnipresent watcher of the wrongdoings of  the characters and all the other people in New York.
