On top of the tree a fairy is seen,

In the corner the grand clock ticks,

And down through the chimeny comes Saint Nick.

Hear the sleigh,

We awaken,

On the bed where we lay,

Watch the nativity especially Jesus,

Santa gives us presents just to please us. 

A light is shining, who could it be?

Presents are underneath the Christmas tree,

How exciting could it be?

Children are messing around in the snow,

Santa is coming on his way ho ho ho!!

Children performing there nativity,

I hope your not on the naughty list,

Under the mistletoe there they kissed!

Children jumping in the snow,

Santa's flying in his sleigh,

Waiting for the special day,

Baubles on the tree dangling and glistening,

While Santa is listening,

Wishing the kind of Christmas day,

That's full of fun in every way.

Christmas carollers singing,

And children running in the snow,

Singing ho ho ho,

Children performing the nativity with loads of hay,

With a donkey saying naaaaaay,

Christmas is a wonderful time,

Especially those who like rhymes.

Merry Christmas.

Children playing with there toys,

every girl and every boy.

Baubles hanging on the tree,

I wonder what Santa will leave for me.

Stars are shinning in the sky,

here comes Santa flying high.

Angels flying in the sky,

Leaving Christmas wishes as they passed by.

Bells are ringing,

Elves are singing.

Merry Christmas.

Angles in the night sky,

The CRUNCH of frosted leaves,

Families nice and cosy around the fire,

All excited for the festive cheer!

Outside the icy wind blows.

The stockings are hung up high,

As Santa rides in the sky.

He lands on your roof in his sleigh,

With presents for Christmas day.

When you wake you'll find crumbs on the plate,

From the mince pie Santa ate.

Under the shining tree,

Presents are waiting for you and me.

Mistletoe hangs low,

As lovers kiss below.

Everyone is jolly,

On the door hangs a wreath of holly.

The family gathers at this special time of year,

Christmas is full of happy cheer.  

And it was under the Christmas tree where the bundles of presents lay,

All of a sudden, a child's voice asked curiously,

Why mummy? Why are the presents here today?

A reply came,

It's to remember the precious moment that the three wise men gave their gifts away,

The child's voice asked again,

Then why mummy? Why is the Christmas tree up today?

A reply asked once more,

It was already an ancient German tradition which was brought to Britain by prince Albert on the holiest of chilly, winter days,

But what's the purpose of that star mummy? The star on the Christmas tree?

A reply sounded out for the last time,

The star symbolises the exact star that guided the Wise men to baby Jesus to give up their gifts of three.
