The ideas are connected to what I believe we should do with students by engaging students in critical thinking and working collaboratively to solve problems. a I envision using these programs to really engage students but I am unsure how we will develop a plan to roll this out to our teaching staff. I am reminded of a lego training that I attended years ago, it was the best PD I had ever attended. We were addressing science and math standards through open-ended problem solving. Not only did this training give me ideas, but gave me permission to experiment in my classroom. Certainly, allowing situations for experimentation helps students at all levels. I'm also thinking of Shannon's example of doing painting with the kindergartners, but not telling them how to open the paint, etc.
