Even the younger children see the inequitable sharing of resources. It eats at their sense of fairness. The children can compare and are vocal about their displeasure.

Sometimes the resources are there but students are restricted from using them. Student councils and student leaders need support from administration.

Here there is a older vs newer secondary school divide. Persons seem more willing to provide resources for the older secondary schools.

There is also disparity between private and public schools in Barbados.

Children are more than willing to speak up and voice their concerns.

Even the resources in a home can be inequitably shared. Two children in the same household but in different streams can be treated differently.

There are few accommodations made for students who may not be ready for high stakes testing e.g. CXC. Comparing this to the judgement in the article which said you only need education up to a certain point. Students may not make the effort to go past that level.

Expectations on those who get less are the same as those who get more.
