     - Fairy Tales- magic tale
     - Cumulative Tales- aka "chain       tale"
     - Por quois Tales- fictional narrative telling why something is the way it is.  Like, why does a snake have no legs or why a tiger has strips.  Many folk tales and legends are por quois tales
     - Beast Tales- beasts acting with human feelings and motives
     - Tall Tales- unbelievable elements portrayed as true
     - Trickster Tales- character doesn't follow rules and tricks others to get what they want
     - Noodlehead Tales- character lacks common sense in the story

Their definitions are very similar. However, what I gather is that a stereotype is an oversimplified view of a person that is held on a widespread view.
