Zippy the flower explores how the changes in weather affect her and how she copes with these feelings. The rainy weather makes her feel gloomy, while the sunny weather makes her feel happy! Zippy ventures through different weathers like rain, sun, snow and wind. 
                        The Feeling flower promotes early literacy by exposing reader’s to new words associated with feelings and the weather. Students also build on their prediction skills by relating to how the flower Zippy feels.

Wombat asks her friends Weasel and Woodchuck if they will wonder the world with her, but they are too overwhelmed with worries. While packing snacks for their adventure they wonder what if the weather worsens, what if there is a storm of waiting wasp, or even worse what if they see walloped warthogs. The friends explore their worries together and have their own adventure doing so. 

               This would be a great story to incorporate into the classroom because it is full of alliteration by repeatedly using the W sound at the beginning of each word. This will build on student’s phonemic awareness, and the illustrations hold the reader’s attention. Also, The Worrywarts is a great book to help children that have worries about new things or might have anxiety.

In the story the young girl is followed by a character which is represented as her fear. As she explores her new world her fears grow bigger. The girl learns she is stronger than her fear and is able to make new friends in her school. 
            Me and My Fear promotes student’s literacy by introducing students to a new language and culture of writing. This is great to use in the classroom with students that speak other languages or are English Language Learners.

He gets angry at his mom and friends at school and likes to throw dinosaur tantrums. After he makes messes and lets out roars he thinks about why he got so mad.  This book helps children handle anger and frustration. 
  This is a great book to use in the classroom because it requires readers to use reflection skills to see why the dinosaur felt this way and they can relate this to themselves. He started the morning by having gum in his hair and ending with lima beans for dinner. Finally, all bad days come to an end and he has a fresh start tomorrow.
                        This book promotes early literature by teaching children new vocabulary words they will encounter in their everyday lives. Some objects from the book would be a skateboard or a baseball bat and examples of adjectives could be frustrating or  terrible.
