This book was full of wild chases to stop the Blue Queen from hypnotizing the somebodies, but also Fern (the main character) making a life long-friendship.

Can you imagine having to battle and evil Blue Queen? Well, if you were Fern you would. Fern is the main character who has to travel to city underneath the city to save the somebodies who she doesn’t even know, and possibly defeat the Blue Queen. All with the help of her friend Howard. “You are somebody’s something, but you are also your you.” This is a quote that reminded me, in the story that Fern had Howard to help her, and that I will always have someone helping me, too. This book is about Fern and Howard being friends, then going to the city beneath the city and save the somebodies from the Blue Queen.

Not only was this book was full of wild chases to stop the Blue Queen from hypnotizing the somebodies into being her slaves, but also Fern making a life long-friendship with Howard. My favorite part of this book is when the Blue Queen turns her husband (Ferns great uncle) into a goldfish! This is a very good book. The author, N.E. Bode also known as Julianna Baggott is a First Place Gold Medal winner of the Florida Book Awards. The author is also a Silver Medal winner of the Florida Book Awards in Children’s Literature. That’s quite a bit of awards! Doesn’t that make you want to read one now. One thing I thought was interesting about this author is her real name, Julianna Baggott. Her first name, is almost the same as mine, Juliana. Isn’t that funny!
